Naming Workshop & Brand Identity
Our client came to us with nothing but a business model and a vision for the industrial vacuum space. No name, no brand, no visual identity. He needed all of it, fast, and it had to compete immediately in a market dominated by established players with decades of brand equity.
We ran structured naming workshops to explore name candidates across strategic categories: descriptive, evocative, invented, and blended. Each candidate was pressure-tested against criteria including memorability, trademark viability, domain availability, and alignment with the brand’s positioning as fast, reliable, and industrial-strength. Rapid Vac emerged as the clear winner: it communicates speed and function while leaving room for the brand to grow beyond a single service offering.

From the name, we developed a bold visual identity anchored by a custom mark that references industrial machinery without being literal. The color system uses high-contrast red and navy to stand out on job sites, vehicles, and trade show materials. We built out a full brand toolkit including primary and secondary marks, color specifications, typography guidelines, and application templates so the client could produce materials consistently from day one.

Brand Messaging

Industrial services are often marketed generically. Rapid Vac needed a voice that would cut through to procurement managers, municipal decision-makers, and operations leads who are tired of undifferentiated vendor pitches.
We developed a tone that’s confident without being aggressive and technical without being boring. Taglines like “More Haste. Less Waste.” and “Always at the Ready” reinforce speed and reliability while giving the brand a memorable verbal identity. The messaging framework includes guidelines for different
contexts: proposals, social media, trade show collateral, and direct sales conversations.
